Hoopers closed in August with the loss of 83 jobs
A buyer is being sought for one of Cumbria's best-known independent department stores.
Hoopers in Carlisle closed in August, with the loss of 83 jobs.
For a time, it was hoped the premises on Castle Street would be taken over by Edinburgh Woollen Mills but the deal fell through.
It recently partially reopened as a designer outlet, employing 30 staff, but has now been put up for sale, with an asking price of £2m.
