Cartoonists flock to Kendal comic festival

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival celebrates "the amazing world of comic artists"

Comic artists and writers from around the world have appeared at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival.

The event, in Kendal, has live drawing, film, exhibitions and workshops.

Contributors who have come from Japan, Canada, Australia, Finland and Europe include The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard, Ken Niimura and Bryan Lee O'Malley.

Festival organiser Julie Tait said it was also "an amazing showcase for UK comic art which is really thriving".
