United Utilities dog Kilo joins the water leak hunt

Meet Kilo. The four-legged recruit helps a water company sniff out leaks in its pipes.

He has been trained to sniff out the smell of escaping water by finely tuning his nose to detect the smell of chlorine in tap water.

Kilo has joined veteran spaniel colleague Denzel and trainer Luke Jones to patrol the rural mains network in the north-west of England for United Utilities.
