Whinlatter Forest trees felled using specialist helicopter
A specialist helicopter is being used to fell hard-to-reach trees in a Lake District forest.
Some larch trees within Whinlatter have become diseased by Phytophthora ramorum and need to be removed to stop it from spreading.
Home to high ropes course Go Ape, the trees could not be felled to the ground, so Forestry England flew in the helicopter to help carry out the work.
