Workington parents charged over four-month-old baby's death

Two parents have been charged with killing their four-month-old son.

Reece Kelly, 30, is charged with murdering Dallas Kelly in Workington, Cumbria, while Georgia Wright, 22, is accused of causing or allowing death.

Mr Kelly also faces two further charges alleging the ill-treatment or neglect of Dallas and a second child, while Ms Wright faces two charges of neglect.

No pleas were entered when they appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Carlisle.

Mr Kelly, of Hunday Court, Workington, was remanded into custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday, while Ms Wright, also from Workington, was granted conditional bail.

Cumbria Police said Dallas died in October 2021.
