Carlisle drivers warned ahead of nine-day roadworks
- Published
Drivers have been warned to expect disruption because of road works in Carlisle city centre.
Work to replace part of London Road, between Highwood Crescent and Eastern Way, will take place from 15 to 27 November.
A one-way system will be in place from 18:00 and 02:00 each evening, except at weekends.
Cumberland Council said the replacement of ironwork would improve the road's "quality and longevity".
It warned businesses and residents there may be delays accessing some of their properties, while the work gets under way.
The council added that it "apologises for any inconvenience".
