Barrow e-scooter crash victim has life-threatening injuries

A crash involving a car and an e-scooter has left a man in his 60s with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of a Nissan Micra was arrested following the crash, which happened at 10:13 GMT on Wednesday at the junction of Rawlinson Street and Crellin Street in Barrow.
Roads in the area were closed to allow Cumbria police officers to carry out investigations.
The injured man was taken to hospital in Preston.
The motorist, who is in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
