Carlisle's Botchergate to close for resurfacing works
- Published
A Carlisle city centre road will close for nine nights for resurfacing works.
Maintenance in Botchergate, between Close Street and Portland Place, will begin on 22 February until 5 March from 18:00 GMT and 01:00.
It comes as Devonshire Street has been closed to traffic for five months as the area undergoes improvements.
Cumberland Council said the repairs in Botchergate would improve the road's durability and quality, replace ironwork and renew line markings.
The council added that a full diversion would be put in place.
It asked residents and businesses who needed access to discuss access with the on-site traffic marshal and warned there could be some delays to access sites.
