Former Cumbria PC faces panel accused of trying to sell porn

An ex-Cumbria police officer is due to face a misconduct hearing accused of attempting to sell pornographic material online.
Former PC Jonathan Hodgson has been called before a panel in April to answer the allegations.
Cumbria Constabulary said he had breached professional behaviour standards of honesty and integrity, and discreditable conduct.
The force said if proven, he could be officially dismissed.
Mr Hodgson, who is no longer a police officer, has been accused of publishing sexually explicit images on a Twitter account he created between May and June, 2022.
It has also been alleged he set up a link to that account with CashApp, a platform that allows the account holder to receive online payments.
Cumbria police said it believed the former officer's intention was to receive payments in exchange for access to the pornographic content.
"Former PC Hodgson was subsequently identified as the publisher of said images and videos, due in part to two anonymous letters received by the professional standards department," they added.
It has also been alleged he failed to declare the intended use of the account as a business interest.
The one-day hearing will be held at the force's headquarters in Penrith on 9 April.
