Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a two-car crash.

The collision between a silver Vauxhall Astra and a grey Honda Civic happened on the A66 near Brough at about 17:00 BST on Saturday, Cumbria Police said.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 38-year-old man from Nottinghamshire, died at the scene. A section of the A66 was closed for a number of hours.

The force has urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact officers.
