Actor, writer and comedian Tim Brooke-Taylor has been appointed OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
The Goodies star, who was born in Buxton, Derbyshire, is being rewarded for services to light entertainment following a career spanning 47 years.
The 70-year-old said: "I'm very pleased and not to say a little surprised - but very pleasantly so. At first I thought it was my son trying to con me."
Brooke-Taylor's Goodies co-star Graeme Garden is also made an OBE.
Boxing project
Other Derbyshire people honoured include Sgt Stephen Osbaldeston, from Alfreton, who is being made an MBE for services to the police after setting up a boxing project for young people.
Sheila Taylor, founder of children's charity Safe and Sound, is also appointed MBE.
Dr Sophie Churchill, chief executive of the National Forest, is made an OBE for services to the environment.
Mick Creedon, Chief Constable of Derbyshire Constabulary, has been given a Queen's Police Medal.
