Dawson absconded from the open prison on Thursday

Police are hunting a Nottingham man who absconded from Sudbury Open Prison in Derbyshire.

Jamie Dawson, 30, from Hucknall, was jailed for four years for burglary in 2008.

He went missing on his first day at the open prison on Thursday after being transferred there from Nottingham Prison.

Dawson is described as white, of medium build, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes.
