Derby man charged with slavery offences

A man has been charged with offences under the Modern Slavery Act following a police operation in Derby.
The 51-year-old was arrested on Thursday as part of an investigation into the alleged trafficking of people into the UK from the Czech Republic.
Officers said several people were being supported by a dedicated team with the assistance the British Red Cross.
The man is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Monday.
