Woman sexually assaulted in Ilkeston after getting off bus

A woman was sexually assaulted by a man wearing a hoodie after getting off a bus in the early hours, police said.

The attack happened at about 04:00 GMT on Queens Avenue in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

The investigation is in its early stages and inquiries are continuing, a Derbyshire Police spokesman said.

Det Insp Dave Ball said: "If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the early hours of this morning around the area of Queens Avenue please contact us."
