Derby: Police appeal after man dies in hit-and-run

Police are appealing for information after a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Derby.

The pedestrian was hit by a car at the Pentagon Island at about 20:00 GMT on Sunday.

Derbyshire Police added the vehicle did not stop, and an investigation is being carried out.

The force said its thoughts were with the man's family, and officers are asking anyone with information to get in touch.

The roundabout was closed overnight and reopened on Monday morning.
