Teenage cyclist seriously injured in Derby hit-and-run

A teenage cyclist has been seriously injured after being struck by a van which then left the scene.
Derbyshire Police said the 17-year-old was hurt in Derby at the junction of Cheviot Street and Hawke Street at about 16:30 GMT on Friday.
The Ford Transit left the scene and the boy was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, the force said.
