Arrests after failed Channel Tunnel cocaine smuggling attempt

Three men from the East Midlands have been arrested after a failed attempt to smuggle £2.3m of cocaine through the Channel Tunnel.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) said the drugs were discovered in a car being driven to the UK in September.
Border Force officers found 12st 3lbs (78kg) in the vehicle at a terminal in Coquelles, France, the NCA said.
One man, 23, from Derbyshire, was arrested at the time and charged with importing Class A drugs.
On Thursday, officers raided a house in Emmett Carr Lane, Renishaw, Derbyshire, and arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with the smuggling attempt.
Another property in Church Warsop, Nottinghamshire, was also raided and no arrests were made, but a 26-year-old man later handed himself in at a police station in Nottinghamshire.
He has been held on suspicion of drug importation offences.
