Derbyshire: Woman killed in crash involving car and lorry

The road remained closed after the crash due to "worsening weather conditions", police said

A woman has died in a crash involving a car and lorry in Derbyshire.

Just after 06:00 GMT on Thursday, officers were called to the A515 at Brierlow Bar, where the driver of the car had suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

The road, near Buxton, was closed while emergency services attended, and "worsening weather conditions" meant it remained shut, police added.

An investigation is ongoing and officers are appealing for information.
