Baslow: Man arrested after woman stabbed in Peak District village

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing at a home in Derbyshire.
Police said they were called to a house in Wheatlands Lane in Baslow shortly after 14:00 GMT on Thursday.
A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital where she is being treated for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives said the man and woman are known to one another and there is no wider risk to the public.
Derbyshire Police said a man, also in his 50s, was arrested after a vehicle was stopped by their colleagues in Cheshire, shortly before 17:20 GMT.
He remains in police custody.
