Peak District: Little owls' 'special moment' captured

A photographer has captured the "special moment" two little owls shared on the roof of a barn in the Peak District.

Richard Bowring photographed the birds in Foolow, Derbyshire, on Thursday.

Mr Bowring, who goes out taking photos of wildlife in the Peak District each day, said he headed to the barn as he often sees the owls in the window.

"I drove round there and they weren't in the window but I could just see both of them on the roof," he said.

"I repositioned for a better view, balanced my camera on a wall and took some photos and some video."

He added: "It was really a special moment watching and capturing them on my camera.

"Moments like this don't happen very often."
