Derby: Access to railway station affected as roadworks start
- Published
Access to Derby railway station will be affected as work to repair and resurface Railway Terrace starts.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) said different sections of Railway Terrace and Zone 1 Car Park would be closed intermittently throughout March due to the works.
On closure dates, customers will need to use Zone 2 on Roundhouse Road or Zone 3 car parks off Midland Road.
Buses serving the station will be diverted and using different stops.
Since July, Railway Terrace has been operating under a one-way system, allowing through access only from the city centre and facilitating access to and from Midland Road for public buses.
EMR is urging passengers to check their route and allow extra time to get to and from the station over the next couple of weeks.
The train company said diversions and access limitations would change throughout the month as the project, carried out by Derby City Council, progressed.
Dave Meredith, customer services director at EMR, said: "Any customers who think they could be affected should visit our website to understand how accessing our station will be changed by these works."
