Police are investigating after a woman reported being pulled into a footpath and sexually assaulted in Derby.

The victim said she was walking in Alvaston between about 23:30 on Tuesday and 00:15 GMT on Wednesday when she was pulled into the footpath between Crewton Way and Griffin Close.

Police said officers were keen to speak to two men who were seen getting out of a small red car on Crewton Way.

Police want to trace the motorist, who drove off before the attack.

The men have been described by Derbyshire Police as being white and wearing dark clothing with their hoods up. One of the men is said to be tall and well built, and the other skinny.
