The driver of a McLaren supercar has been reported after being pulled over on the M1 in Derbyshire.

The McLaren 720S Coupe was travelling on the motorway, near Tibshelf, on Tuesday when Derbyshire Police spotted it passing by.

The force's roads policing unit said there was no front plate, an illegal rear plate and tinted windows below the legal light transmission.

The driver was "reported for all offences", it added.

The 720S model retails from £227,300, according to vehicle online marketplace Auto Trader Group.

The tints were removed at the roadside, police added.
