Derbyshire Police was called to a property in Hartington Place

A police officer was taken to hospital on Saturday evening following "an incident" in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police was called to a property in Hartington Place, Ilkeston, due to "concerns for the safety of a man".

The officer suffered an injury which is not life-threatening, the force said.

No further details have been released by the force, however a large police presence remains in the area as a precaution for public safety.
