A Derby man has been jailed after admitting he possessed several terrorist documents.

West Midlands Police said officers raided Adrian Monk's former home in Rugeley, Staffordshire last year and seized the far-right material.

The 33-year-old, from Malton Place, Derby, later admitted 10 offences of possessing information useful to terrorists.

At Birmingham Crown Court he was jailed for five years and two months.

Monk initially denied 10 offences of possession of a document containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, but changed his plea in March.

Det Ch Supt Alison Hurst, said: "Terrorism documents can contain very disturbing and dangerous content, making it illegal to have them.

"We will work to remove these documents to stop the propaganda and onward sharing of such material.

"We will continue to protect local communities by working with partners and the CPS to pursue and prosecute all those who show support for terrorism."
