Met Office issues amber and yellow warnings for East Midlands

A yellow warning for rain has been issued across the East Midlands
The Met Office has issued an amber rain warning for parts of the Derbyshire Peak District, while a yellow warning is in place across the rest of the East Midlands.
The 24-hour amber warning encompasses parts of Buxton, Glossop and Whaley Bridge and is in place from 12:00 BST on Wednesday.
The yellow warning will last until 12:00 on Thursday across Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Flood alerts have also been issued.
The alerts, announced by the Environment Agency, mean flooding is possible.
They are currently in place across the region including for the Lower Soar in Leicestershire, the River Maun in Nottinghamshire, and Lower Derwent in Derbyshire.
Tributaries in Leicester city including Willow, Evington, Bushby, Thurnby, Scraptoft, Melton and Braunstone Brooks, are also subject to a flood alert.
Flood warnings are also in place for parts of Leicestershire and Derbyshire, which means flooding is expected and residents should act now.
The warnings are in place for the River Mease at Measham, Leicestershire, and Netherseal, Derbyshire.
There is also a warning in effect for Gilwiskaw Brook at Packington, Leicestershire.
