Families of residents have been trying to find alternative accommodation

Elderly people who were given a week to move out of a Dartmoor residential home after it went into administration have left their accommodation.

Residents were told on Saturday that Holcombe House, at Moretonhampstead, would close on Friday.

Devon County Council said, so far, 10 of the 11 elderly residents had found alternative accommodation.

The authority said it was told last week of the owner's inability to continue to operate the home.

The care home has not been available for comment.
