Terrorism Act charge for Torquay man John Roddy

A Torquay man has been charged under the Terrorism Act following an incident in the Devon town.
A number of properties were evacuated after "suspect items" were reported at a house in Lymington Road in January.
John Michael Roddy, 20, from Lymington Road, is accused of having information likely to be of use in committing or preparing a terrorist act.
He was released on police bail and will appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on 14 May.
Mr Roddy and another man, 18-year-old Tobias Daniel Ruth, of Morgan Avenue, Torquay, were also charged with conspiracy to send malicious messages and conspiracy to cause criminal damage.
