Work has begun to install a flyover above one of Devon's major road junctions.

Beams are being stretched across the Penn Inn Roundabout at Newton Abbot to form a bridge which will make up part of the new South Devon Link Road.

The 600m (2,000ft) bridge is being constructed with 50m (165ft) long beams.

The 3.4 mile (5.5km) dual carriageway will link Torbay and Newton Abbot, bypassing Kingskerswell.

Costing about £110m, the entire link road is due to be completed by December 2015.
