Murder inquiry launched over Newton Abbot man's death

A murder inquiry has been launched into the death of a 51-year-old man.

Adrian Munday had suffered serious injuries and was found dead at a house in Devon, according to police.

Officers said there had been a small fire at the house in Wain Lane, Newton Abbot before the body was found at about 11:00 BST on 6 October.

Police had been treating the death as unexplained. They are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Det Ch Insp Mike West, senior investigating officer, asked anyone who may have heard a fire alarm in the area before 6 October to get in touch.
