Free parking for Mid Devon Christmas shoppers

St Saviour's Way car park in Crediton is among those offering free parking

Shoppers in Mid Devon are set to benefit from free 24-hour parking in the run-up to Christmas.

The free parking offer applies to selected car parks every Saturday from 25 November to 23 December.

The car parks taking part are at St Saviour's Way in Crediton, Station Road in Cullompton and the multi-storey in Tiverton.

Mid Devon Council said the offer is intended to support local Christmas programmes and to enhance local trade.

Councillor James Buczkowski, Cabinet Member for Finance, said: "We're thrilled to be able to provide five days of free parking in the lead-up to this year's Christmas season.

"Embracing the holiday spirit will benefit both local residents and businesses as well as encouraging shoppers into the area."
