Staff want the museum exhibition to bring cultural stories 'to life'

The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon is asking local groups to tell their stories in a new community gallery.

Staff said they are looking for compelling stories, projects or celebrations that resonate with the local audience.

They hope the exhibitions will add to north Devon's "cultural richness".

Those chosen will receive support, from planning to display and promotion, said museum bosses.

Museum Curator Alison Mills said: "I am excited to open our doors to local community groups, inviting them to bring their stories to life in our new community gallery.

"These stories shape our cultural landscape and we're eager to share them with the wider community."

Groups hoping to take part are being asked to visit the museum's website and fill in an online form, external by 14 February.
