Plymouth Hoe: Major search stood down for missing swimmer

Teams were stood down after an overnight search that was relaunched on Tuesday morning
Rescue crews have been stood down after a major search for a male swimmer off the coast of Plymouth.
Emergency services were alerted at about 23:00 GMT on Monday after reports a swimmer failed to return to shore.
Three RNLI lifeboats, a coastguard helicopter and police dive teams were involved with the search around the Tinside Lido area of Plymouth Sound.
The search was stood down at 13:35. A police spokesperson said officers remained at the scene.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the missing man's next of kin had been informed.
