Devon and Cornwall Police said the force wants to increase its outreach with the Mini Police project

More than 1,000 school pupils have learnt about police work in Devon and Cornwall, officers have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said its Mini Police project teaches children about topics including internet safety.

PC Debbie Hart, Plymouth Youth Engagement Officer, said the course has valuable advice for pupils.

She added the force was "dedicated to increasing" the number of schools the programme visits along with being available for homeschooled children.
