North Devon groups invited to apply for councillor grants

North Devon Council has reopened its community councillor grant scheme for groups to apply for funding.
It said each councillor could allocate £1,000 towards projects or groups within the district.
The aim of the scheme is to support projects directly benefiting residents, the environment and the community.
The money could be used to fund equipment costs or assist with operational expenses, the authority said.
Councillor Ian Roome, the leader of the council, said the scheme was available for "a diverse range of projects".
"We are committed to backing our local clubs, communities, and organisations that are making a positive impact in north Devon," he said.
