Lawyers and members of the public are being sought for police misconduct panels in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset.

Police and crime commissioners (PCC) for the counties are seeking volunteers to join the panels alongside the respective chief constables.

It comes as new powers for chief constables to fire officers found guilty of gross misconduct come into force in May, the PCCs said.

Anyone interested can apply by visiting the forces' recruitment website, external.

Applications are set to closed on 13 May.
