New boss lined up for East Devon District Council

A new chief executive has been recommended to take on the top job at East Devon District Council (EDDC).
Tracy Hendren is a director at the council and has been one of three interim chief executives since the departure of the previous boss.
The previous chief executive, Mark Williams, left the job in October 2023 after more than 21 years in the role.
The appointment will be discussed by full council on 8 May and if approved, Ms Hendren will begin on 1 June.
The salary for the chief executive at EDDC is between £130,000 and £134,999 according to the council's website, external.
