A 21-gun salute took place at HMS Drake in Plymouth to commemorate Coronation Day.
The salute happened at 12:00 BST, a year on from when King Charles III was crowned.
Gun salutes took place across the country.
Chief Petty Officer Craig Brook-Hewitt, who is chief of the guard at HMS Drake, said it was "an honour" to be a part of the event.
He said: "It's a big celebration, 21 guns, it's not just us, we're the primary saluting station in the south west... you have all over the country doing this, 21-gun salute at dead on 12 o'clock today."
CPO Brook-Hewitt said the salute took "roughly just under a minute".
