Guys Marsh Prison workshop fire investigation launched

An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire which broke out in the workshop of Guys Marsh Prison in Dorset.
Fifty firefighters were brought in to fight the fire at the prison south of Shaftesbury at about 08:50 BST.
A Prison Service spokesperson said the blaze was extinguised by 10:30 BST and an investigation has now been launched.
There were no injuries to staff or prisoners and the fire was contained in the workshop.
The rural prison is a designated Foreign National Prisoner Centre and has a capacity of 578.
