A man has been killed in an attack in Bournemouth town centre.

Dorset Police said they were called to a home on Lansdowne Road at 16:52 BST and found the body of a man, who has not yet been named.

A man in his 20s was arrested on nearby Beechey Road and is being questioned by police.

Det Insp Stewart Balmer said the town centre would have been "very busy" at the time of the incident and has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
