Roads around Poole's recently opened Twin Sails Bridge are included in the review

A review of Poole harbour's road layout is hearing from local residents for the first time.

Poole Borough Council has appointed independent experts to review a newly-introduced road system around Poole Bridge and the Twin Sails Bridge.

Their findings and suggestions will be reported back to the council's Economic Overview and Scrutiny Committee at the end of September.

Three public drop-in sessions are being held at Poole Civic Centre on Friday.

Since opening in April, the £37m Twin Sails lifting bridge, which links Poole harbour with Hamworthy, has been beset by delays and unscheduled closures.

However, the review involves assessing the impact a new "gyratory" road system around the bridge has had on the town.
