Dorset's Electricity Museum closed 'indefinitely'

Nine members of staff have been made redundant
A museum in Dorset has closed "indefinitely" and its staff have lost their jobs, a spokesperson has said.
An independent review of The Museum of Electricity, in Christchurch, found it did not fulfil visitor needs and had restricted disabled access.
Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), which funds the museum, said it could not afford the "seven figure sum" redevelopment works.
Nine paid members of staff have been made redundant.
Several volunteers have also lost their posts.
The museum is closed between the end of September and Easter, but will not reopen in the spring as planned.
Julian Reeves, from SSE, said the company was discussing redeployment opportunities with staff members and would continue to provide an education service for schools and colleges.
