A section of a Dorset coastal path is in a "perilous state" after cliff falls, the coastguard has said.

Several landslips west of Lulworth were reported on Sunday afternoon, on a stretch of the path between White Nothe and Durdle Door.

People have been advised to keep clear of the affected areas on the cliffs and beaches below.

A coastguard spokesman said expected rain and continuing cold weather could cause the path to deteriorate further.

A section of cliff came down on Swanage beach just before Christmas, and 20 miles away at Burton Bradstock, 22-year-old Charlotte Blackman, 22, was killed in July when tonnes of rock fell on to the beach.
