AFC Bournemouth v Real Madrid: Fans snap up tickets
- Published
Football fans have camped out overnight in the hope of getting tickets to AFC Bournemouth's pre-season friendly against Real Madrid.
Hundreds gathered at the Goldsands Stadium and the Bournemouth International Centre ahead of the sale at 09:00 BST.
The club's website also crashed under the demand for the eagerly anticipated 9,600 capacity match.
The 4,000 tickets available were limited to two per person.
Graham Carter was one of the first to get tickets after queuing for about 15 hours.
He said: "The best players in the world are coming to Bournemouth, I'm buzzing, I can't wait."
Another 2,000 tickets could be released if the ground's south stand is finished in time for the game on 21 July.
