A woman has been rescued after her car overturned car on a Dorset lifting bridge.
The silver Renault Clio overturned on Poole's Twin Sails bridge shortly after 11:30 GMT.
Police said the elderly driver, from Poole, was freed by firefighters having suffered slight injuries.
The council said the incident happened at the start of a scheduled lift. CCTV revealed the warning lights and barrier were functioning normally.
The bridge, linking Poole Harbour with Hamworthy, has reopened after police investigation work.
Safety checks revealed it had only suffered superficial damage.
The £37m bridge opened to traffic in April 2012.
