A major search for a missing woman has taken place in gale-force winds across 100 acres of Dorset woodland and shoreline.

Sabrina Boulenouar, 33, was last seen at her home in Poole Road, Upton, in the early hours of New Year's Day.

A Dorset Police spokesman said they were "increasingly concerned" for her welfare.

The search around Upton Country Park has involved police, coastguard teams, and Dorset Search and Rescue.

The police spokesman added: "Sabrina's family are very concerned for her and we would ask that she or anyone who knows her whereabouts makes contact with police."

Poor conditions

She is described as white, 5ft 6in, with shaven hair. She was last seen in a grey woollen jumper, black leggings, and wearing black-rimmed glasses.

A Portland Coastguard spokesman said despite a "tremendous effort" during the day its teams were standing down because of failing light.

He said they experienced poor conditions, constant rain, force 7 and 8 winds, and low visibility during the search.

Several helicopters have been employed in the operation which also covered Holes Bay, Lytchett Bay, and Upton Heath.
