Ibberton paraglider seriously injured in crash

A paraglider has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after crashing in Dorset.

The 41-year-old woman crashed at Ibberton, near Blandford, at about 17:00 GMT on Sunday.

The Portland Coastguard helicopter took her to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester. The Wyke Regis coastguard team was also involved in the rescue.

It is thought the victim suffered injuries to her back and shoulder.
