A man has been airlifted to hospital after being injured in a fall on Dorset's Jurassic Coast.

The 76-year-old was walking at Kimmeridge on Tuesday afternoon when he fell on rock ledges.

Paramedics said he suffered a hip injury and called the coastguard to help transport him to hospital.

He was taken by Portland Coastguard helicopter, with the help of Kimmeridge and Wyke Regis rescue officers, to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.
