Gussage All Saints' Drovers Inn council decision welcomed

Campaigners attempting to buy and reopen a Dorset village pub have welcomed a council decision not to allow a change of use for the property.
The Drovers Inn in Gussage All Saints was listed as an asset of community value in February.
East Dorset Council turned down an application, external by its current owner to convert it to residential use.
More than £120,000 has so far been pledged to a community group planning to buy and run the pub.
The pub has been closed since November when previous owners Marston's PLC said it was no longer financially viable.
The Gussage Community Benefit Society said it would "focus on the job in hand" and attempt to buy the pub's freehold, refurbish it and recruit an experienced tenant to run the business.
