Man shot in arm by police in Bournemouth

The shot man was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening
A man has been shot by officers in Bournemouth during a police operation linked to an earlier stabbing.
The 59-year-old was shot in the arm after officers stopped a car, with two men and a woman inside, on Castle Lane West at 20:30 BST on Tuesday.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains with non life-threatening injuries.
Dorset Police said the operation was related to a stabbing in Wimborne Road on Thursday.
A 24-year-old Bournemouth man was stabbed in the head, hand and back by another man, who is believed to be known to him.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A 36-year-old man who was also in the vehicle on Tuesday has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the stabbing.
Officers said no-one else was injured.

The shooting has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The IPOC said armed officers had stopped a black Mercedes during a planned operation and during the incident the driver was shot in the arm.
IOPC director with responsibility for Dorset Police, Catrin Evans, said the investigation would look into the planning of the police operation as well as the circumstances of the shooting.
She said: "This incident occurred mid-evening on a busy street and I'd be grateful for anyone who saw events unfold on Tuesday evening to get in touch with our investigators."
